Details of a Day

Lots of you are having icky weather. The kind that makes a cat want to hibernate. We've had lots of rain and that's not so wonderful either. The only part about rain drenched fur is the towel drying that I get when I come in. Yes I do intentionally get caught out in the rain. And yes, I have her trained VERY well - a towel is always waiting and applied without hesitation. But that's another post for another day.

My point is that although the weather here is not optimal, it is by the standards of the northern states a beautiful day! It was at least 60 and the sun was shining. So I went for a walk in the woods. It did my whiskers good and so I thought I would share some of my pictures with you hoping that it might brighten your day! Come along, let's go for a walk....

Yes, the daffy's are about to bloom and the trees are budding....

Although the chipmunks live in the base of this tree (look left for their door), they didn't want to come out and visit. Not sure why. I can normally give them a good run....

So I wandered off deeper into the woods. I saw a bunny butt. No I didn't get a picture - he was really fast and all you would have seen was....yes a white fluff of a bunny butt. But I did find lots of wonderful places to stretch out....

(Remember, you can click on the photos to see all the details....)

Not sure about this one and since "she" saw a snake yesterday I decided not to linger here. "She" doesn't mind snakes but purrsonally, I'd purrfur to stay clear of them. It's a mutual respect thing.

Speaking of "her".....loves textures, so I took some pictures of forest textures....

It's supposed to rain again starting at midnight. Those who claim to know say we'll have about 3 to 4 inches. But today? It was a good day! I hope you've had one too.

Hi Romeo, we had two entire days of sun in which I weeded the flower garden and Clovis sun bathed. Your images are wonderful. Clovis says hi through sleepy eyes. Hugs, Olive

Hi Romeo...great adventure and wonderful photos! Stay dry...Georgia needs the rain so I'm trying to smile through it, but I am tired of feeling damp. Loving the warmer pretty days though too. Best, Vicki

Hey Dude,
Raphael here...you take some mean photos there fella. I guess being around a talented Mom has lots to do with it and being an above average kitty, a lot like me and my Mom! Yeah, I hear you on the snake thing - one got into our house two summers ago, you should read her blog post on that event, you will laugh your whiskers off laughing. It really was hysterical watching her run around the house with an oven mitt on her hand trying to catch the thing (here's the link just in case you need a good laugh http://elisabetpollock.blogspot.com/2010/06/slither-slither-snake.html)
Well I gotta go get some treats...talk soon!

Romeo,

You take some pretty good pics my feline friend. Mom is still pretty busy but has given me some attention. Our weather here has been warm with temps in the 70's. I can see all of the camillas blooming from my window. Hope all is well your way.
