Christmas Magic

Did you have a wonderful Christmas?!? Oh, I so hope that you did!  If you were good (at least for the week prior) I am certain that Santa Paws remembered you as a good child.

I must have been good too, because it was a magical day - the kind of magic that only good children get to experience.....maybe you got to experience it too.....

....we woke up to SNOW ON CHRISTMAS MORNING!?! How magical is that?!  I could hardly believe my eyes and thought momentarily that the large fluffy one was laying on me covering my eyes.  All that fur would most certainly have looked like a snow storm! But it wasn't her, it really was snow!

SNOW!!! Oh the joy!  But wait...."she" is still asleep.  Humfph!  Well I knew I'd filed my claws for something, but oh my whiskers...this was divine! So, ever so subtle was the paw....as I lay next to her pillow.....stretching and yawning....oops, sorry was that your face my paw and claw just collided with?!

Oops! So sorry.  But now that you're awake you might want to look outside....

Wide eyed in wonder but still not moving from the bed.  So I used my powerful feline mind telepathy and told "her" to go outside and play.  Dad must have intercepted the telepathic message because he rolled off the bed and with sleep in his eyes said he was going outside to take some photos.  And then he was gone, out the door, gee he didn't even brush his teeth or eat breakfast kind of gone.....

So I tried again.....'you want to go outside'.....and I stared at "her" hoping to make a more focused attempt at mental persuasion....and then....."she" sat up in bed.....Oh YES! Progress!

So I worked my powerful feline telepathic powers again.....'you want to go outside'.....'take some photos'.....'for my blog'.....oops......busted, "she's" on to me so I look away casually, feigning innocence naturally.

"She's" a little slower getting outside.  Not sure why "she" has to wash the face and brush the teeth, but "she" does. And I remain (almost) patient.  It is Christmas after all.  And we are supposed to be good and kind.  So pushing "her" out the door would not be considered good Christmas etiquette. Not sure, but didn't want to chance it.....

And grateful.  It is important to remember - be grateful! For all those things in life we get to experience and all the sights we get to see (that's correct I only watch the birds).

BE VERY GRATEFUL! For those who are patient AND grateful get CATNIP!

Yes, it's true, I had a motive to get them out of the house...
there was catnip under the tree that needed my undivided attention!

Here's hoping that you had a delightful Christmas filled
with laughter, love and moments of pure bliss!

Oh Romeo- You would have LOVED my MrMidnight. He was a soul much like you and would gently "tap" me awake in the morning..that or he would bite my toes just to remind me who was REALLY in charge of the bed.

Your "people" did really good taking those Christmas pics. I really love the one of the birds on the branches. I'll bet you love that one up close and personal.

Stay off the "sauce" (catnip) today and behave yourself. Only 362 days til Christmas?

Romeo, your snow pictures are gorgeous, but you truly saved the best photo for last. You are looking strikingly handsome in that picture where you are enjoying your catnip! You must have been a good boy indeed to be rewarded so by Santa Paws!

That catnip face is divine bliss.

We live in a snow state and guess what - got nothing for Christmas, not that I want the white stuff.

I am much more enjoying the beautiful photos online.

Oh- I posted a short video you may enjoy
Video is shorter than link!

Romeo Dear,
You are so totally telepathic! Fluffy and Snuggles are working on that skill too and can get me up to check the food bowl now. Looks like a beautiful Christmas for you! The sweet birds! Our snow came Sunday PM and then the birds discovered my feeder. The porch is all aflit and F & S are in kitty heaven. Have a beautiful new year!!

So delighted with your visit to my home, the cream was waiting warm and delicious was it not, a bit of egg nog was added for added flavor.

What a beautiful visit and so happy you enjoyed the ceter piece Ann made, so purr-fect for the chest in front of the sofa.

You had snow, and so jealous that you were enjoying all that beauty.
Did you enjoy your dinner? I also noticed the brach of wintere chick-a-dees on the tree branch they must have delighted you as well :) as they did for me as well.

And sings the tune without the words,

That little bird has chosen his shelter. Above it are the stars and the
deep heaven of worlds. Yet he is rocking himself to sleep without
caring for tomorrow's lodging, calmly clinging to his little twig,
and leaving God to think for him.

So glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas and that you got snow! Ours was supposed to melt by Christmas eve but lasted just until Boxing day so we had a white one too :) It's so magical and special, isn't it? Anyway, just want to add that I love your photos! You have a real talent with the camera :)

It snowed here this morning Romeo but not in my yard, only over in my kitty cousin's yard on the other side of town. She got to romp all over in the white fluffy stuff and I only saw it On TV. BARK not fair.

Our "Hers" seem to have enjoyed their holidays but I still don't understand why my her got so darn mad when I pulled all the tissue out of the wastebasket and shredded it for confetti for New Years. I was only helping!
